SLUMP

As all of you have surly noticed I am in a blogging slump...... or maybe more accurately called a blogging recession/depression. I have no real reason for not blogging other than I find myself with no spare time anymore. In addition to my two busy body children, I am doing daycare for a friends 8 month old. So there is my excuse ... kindof...... Hopefully when I get my schedule a little better under control I will be back to blogging.

PLEASE HELP

I want to start some new Christmas Traditions in my little family. Please write in the comments your favorite Christmas tradition if you don't mind sharing it. THANKS!!!
Happy Holidays

Emmalyn LOVES to walk

Emmalyn has only been crawling for about 3 weeks now and she wants to walk so badly. I think she is tired of not being able to keep up with Abigail. Soon enough she'll be running... my baby is growing up so fast.

Make a Wish

I bought a little chicken the other day and Abi got the wish bone. Skyler showed her how to hold it and tada! Make a wish Abigail!

Last blanket done!

Thanks for the little push Lori. I knew I needed to post but was procrastinating. :)

This is my last blanket for babies. Woo Hoo.... now onto Christmas.

WARNING - not for the faint of heart

We have been potty training for what seems like an eternity (2.5 months). Abigail did great the first month and had no accidents, then she decided out of the blue that she didn't want to poop in the potty anymore. She still pees in potty fine and has actually only peed in her panties 3 times in the last 2.5 months but I can't for the life of me get her to poop in the potty. She knows when it is time to go and will stand next to the potty and poop in her panties then dump it in the potty and come tell me she needs new panties. GGGRRRR!!!! I was at my wits end..... nothing worked.. time out's taking away "big girl" things, her TV, or spankings... nothing worked.... so I got a little creative and made a "potty bag" which has been awesome! Granted it has only been 4 days of pooping in the potty but at least she is doing it with success and no mess!!!! Woo Hoo! So for you who are wondering what the "potty bag" is here goes. I have a zip up old diaper bag that stays in the bathroom behind the door that is filled with a few fun toys (monkeys in a barrel is her favorite) and some of her favorite story books. The only time she is allowed to play with these "special potty toys/books" is when she is sitting on the potty. So during the day I'll ask her 1 or 2 times if she wants to go play with her potty bag and she gets so excited and runs to the bathroom and shuts the door (she doesn't like me or Emmalyn watching) sits on the potty to play with her toys and 10 minutes later....... "Mommy I'm done!"

Taadaa!!! We have success...poop in the potty and no mess! I hope this works and is the end of our potty issues. Wish me luck. :)

Blanket Bonanza

There are a few sisters in my ward having babies and the lady that normally makes baby blankets doesn't anymore so I volunteered. Here are the blankets.. 8 blankets in 1 day..... one very looooong day.

Random cute bath picture

I love my girls they are so much fun. I forget how lucky I am to be able to stay home with them and teach and help them. They grow so fast, I am sure time will fly by and I will look back and wish I could have moments back. I am thankful I have a husband who supports us and loves us. We are so very blessed.

Not quite straight

I tried to straighten Abigail's hair with my flat iron and it got rid of some of the curl but not all of it. It had tons of body and felt a little fro'ish. She thought it was so fun to look in the mirror and play with her big hair.

Two of a kind

I poked my head in Abigail's room to find her and Daisy watching Fern Gully, they didn't even notice I took a picture. I guess they were both entertained by all those fairies flying around on screen.

Idaho State Fair

Abi loves the petting zoo at the fair, and these little goats were so nice; they didn't even bite.I would have brought this little cocker spanial home with us if it hadn't been $450!!! WowI can't wait until Abigail is big enough for rides.. She had such a good time on this little one.

Late night raids

I found Abigail sneaking her way into the fridge late the other night. She is so clever. Milk and cheese were her spoils.

Labor day

We went to visit my parents on Labor day and stopped off at the park to run down a little energy. Abigail was not the only one who played hard, her grandpa is such a good sport! Yipee a slide, Abi's favorite!

Dad you are such a cutie.. I guess I'll keep you after all.Picking flowers on the bank of the St. Anthony river.Ohhh isn't this just the cutest little face!

Don't share with me!

Monday night Abigail started screaming in the night that she was puking, so I ran to get her and sure enough.... she was puking.

Tuesday night was the same story. Then Sky got sick and has been home from work recovering for the last 3 days. Hope this is over and done now that the weekend is here!

Find a penny. Keep a penny

I have had this old whiskey jar since I was in Jr. High. I put a few coins in it now and then and have continued for the last 15 years. I took it into the bank to be counted the other day and I had $161.47! Woo Hooo look at what spare change can add up to!

Cutest red head there has EVER been!!!
